Inspired by the op art movement and artists such as M.C.Escher, Wiltshire based geometric artist, Julian Richardson specialises in the creation of monumental pieces of sand art and land art. By understanding the symbiotic relationship between sacred design and its position within an ancient landscape, his art has the ability to enter viewers psyche and effect how they interpret the world around them. Following on from the stone circle-makers of old, Julian effectively creates contemplative sacred spaces - encouraging visitors to question the very fabric life, the universe, and their place within it.
