Many thanks to Mirka Stadtruckerova; Khi Deva; Anneke Westra; Paul Burton for your (ardent) assistance creating our third piece of sand art this year 🙏🎨 The 263ft wide design which utilised sixfold geometry took approx six hours to make. The rippled beach was initially quite wet after the previous hightide which made the marking out process a little more challenging, but thankfully we were able to complete and document the ephemeral artwork with an hour to spare before the incoming tide erased it 🌊
Sand 50 “Icosahedra” ~ 29th August 2020 ~ Brean, Somerset, UK
It was great to have the opportunity to visit the coast again and create some sand art. This piece is based upon stylised icosahedrons (three-dimensional polyhedrons with 20 faces) and measures 134m/439ft.
